Ashura as a Continuous Court
🔸 The Shia community, the followers of Ahlulbayt (PBUT), for centuries have commemorated the martyrdom of Imam Hussain (PBUH). As long as this was contained in their communities, it was not very much questioned, why Shia Muslims mourn and weep for him. But now people all around the world ask an important question, a question which is necessary even for Shia communities to ask themselves.
🔹 What's the logic of commemoration of Imam Hussain (PBUH) after all these years? Is it only a ceremonial thing? Is it only living up a tradition? Is it something similar to traditional rituals that every community have? Is it part of the social identity that I want to attach my self? Or is it part of my development? What are the reasons behind the commemoration of Imam Hussain (PBUH)?
