The Ecumenical Institute at Château de Bossey invites applications for the Certificate in Advanced Studies – Interreligious Studies, 2019. Intended for an international audience of young people interested and engaged in interreligious dialogue, the Ecumenical Institute’s Certificate of Advanced Studies in Interreligious Studies includes lectures, courses, workshops and study visits to places of interreligious interest, and is accredited by the University of Geneva under the Swiss Higher Education Program for Continuing Education.
In summer 2019 the theme of this certificate will be Engaging for just and participatory societies – Belongingness in Judaism, Christianity and Islam. This international course offers capacity building for constructive engagement in interreligious relations and dialogue.
Audience
International audience, religious leader, student and lay person, preferably from the three Abrahamic religions, with a suitable level of religious literacy and/or experience in the field of interreligious dialogue and engagement
Program
Two learning components: a distance learning period (6 weeks) and an intensive residential 3-week-period of study, research and community life. The residential period includes 4 study modules:
• Core Course on Judaism, Christianity and Islam
• Thematic Workshops
• Practical Interreligious Workshop
• Interreligious Study Visits
