Muhbeen Hussain, founder of British Muslim Youth, has been awarded an MBE (Member of the Order of the British Empire) in the King’s Birthday Honours, in recognition of his contributions to integration and social cohesion in the UK.
He expressed deep gratitude for the honour, writing: “This honour is not just a personal milestone, but a reflection of the collective work, unwavering support, and most notably the exceptional guidance I have been privileged to receive. From the good days to the most difficult ones, I remain committed to serving my country and our communities, and playing my small part in helping make the world a better, fairer place for all.”
The King’s Birthday Honours are part of the British honours system, announced annually to mark the sovereign’s official birthday.
They recognize individuals from all walks of life who have made outstanding contributions to society, including in public service, the arts, charity, science, and community leadership.
