The editors of Hamsa: Journal of Judaic and Islamic Studies are very pleased to announce that the journal is now accepting proposals for its 11th volume. For this volume, we welcome proposals offering original analysis on the broad subject of Judaic and Islamic studies and their intersections. The deadline for this call for papers is 31 March 2025.

The papers should be sent to hamsa@uevora.pt.

Since 2014, the Centro Interdisciplinar de História Culturas e Sociedades da Universidade de Évora (CIDEHUS) has been publishing the multidisciplinary journal Hamsa, dedicated to humanities studies on Judaism and Islam in the Iberian Peninsula and in the context of diasporas. Multilingual (English, Portuguese, Spanish, French), Hamsa offers each year comparative analyses of historical, philosophical, literary, anthropological and sociological discourses, over a period that stretches from the Middle Ages to the present day.
