The Department of Religious Studies at the University of Virginia seeks applications to fill non-tenure track Lecturer positions during the 2024-2025 academic year. Subject areas of need include but are not limited to: Islam, Buddhism and Tibetan.

Compensation will take the form of wages. Either a terminal degree or master’s degree is required.  Candidates must have a strong commitment to teaching. Unit Paid Faculty teach additional courses on an as needed basis.

Physical Demands

This is primarily a sedentary job involving extensive use of desktop computers. The job does occasionally require traveling some distance to attend meetings, and programs.
