The Chair for Islamic Textual Studies (Qur’an and Hadith) at Berlin Institute for Islamic Theology is inviting applications for a Postdoctoral Research Fellow in Islamic Theology, with expected full-time employment, limited to a maximum of three years.
The successful candidate will contribute to academic services in research and teaching in the field of Islamic Textual Studies (Qur’an and Hadith), especially in the field of hermeneutics and exegesis of the Qur’an, participate in organizing conferences and specialized publications, and assist in acquiring external funding.
Applicants must hold a doctoral degree in Islamic Theology or Islamic Studies with excellent grades, possess advanced knowledge of German, English, and Arabic, and preferably have knowledge of Turkish. Experience in research and teaching, along with the aptitude and motivation for independent interdisciplinary work, are essential.
