The aim of the Youth Development Program is to develop personal and enhance leadership capacity across the youth in the Council of European Jamaats (CoEJ). The type of youth that will enable our communities to meet the challenges posed by the future and to fully serve the common good of their community and wider society. It is also a powerful opportunity to establish long-lasting working relationships with individuals and build networks through the entire cross-section of our Jamaats.
There is hereby established a Council of all Khoja Shia Ithna-asheri Muslim Communities in Europe, to be called The Council of European Jamaats hereinafter referred to as ‘CoEJ’. The Executive Council shall be the body of Trustees who shall manage and administer CoEJ in accordance with the provisions of the Charities Act 2011 (or any statutory re-enactment or modification thereof), responsible for discharging all CoEJ’s legal responsibilities. In 2011, the Executive Council of CoEJ initiated the ‘Striving for a Brighter Future’ initiative. The aim of Striving was to enable CoEJ to develop with clarity and focus on goals and objectives, as well as direct the future activities of the body according to the needs of its members. Data and input was collected from Member Jamaats, Councilors & Grassroot members.
