The belief in the advent of a Savior is a common belief amongst the Abrahamic religions. According to all Muslims, including Shia and Sunni, this savior who is known as Al-Mahdi meaning the guided one, will re-appear with Prophet Jesus Christ Peace be upon Him to fulfill his duties of spreading justice and peace and abolishing oppression around the world.

Imam Mahdi, known as the Hidden Imam, is from the progeny of Prophet Muhammad Peace be upon Him. He is the twelfth Divine Leader chosen by Allah and has been blessed with knowledge, power, and immaculateness to guide mankind.
