I wanted to get back into mobile games, but most of them feel like too much work. I don’t want something that takes a lot of time. Just something simple for a few minutes. Any ideas?

I know what you mean, it’s hard to find something that doesn’t feel like a chore. I usually stick to games that don’t require daily logins or long sessions. There was a good explanation I saw here https://techadaptor.com/blog/why-quick-mobile-games-keep-fitting-the-way-people-use-their-phones/ about how mobile games are changing. It basically says people just want quick and simple interactions now. I think that’s why I uninstall anything that feels too demanding almost instantly.

It’s rather telling that the most successful mobile games often prioritize ease of access and quick playability. This shift reflects a deep understanding of user behavior on mobile devices, where attention is fragmented and time is often limited. The expectation for instant entertainment without a lengthy onboarding process has become a significant factor in what makes a mobile game engaging and keeps it installed on a user’s device.
