I have a slow leak under my kitchen sink that I have been ignoring for months because it is just a few drops a day. But now I noticed the cabinet floor feels soft and there is a musty smell. Has anyone here put off a small plumbing issue and ended up with a much bigger and more expensive problem later? At what point do you decide to stop living with it and just call someone? Would love to hear how bad it got for others before they finally acted.

Yeah that soft floor and musty smell means the leak has been soaking the wood for a while. Ignored a small drip under my own sink for months because it was “just a few drops.” Then one day the cabinet bottom literally crumbled when I moved the cleaning supplies. Had to replace a chunk of the subfloor and part of the cabinet frame. Could have just called TorrHandyman back when it was a simple fix. Instead it turned into a whole afternoon with a saw and a lot of swearing.
