In this issue of the journal, we introduce and review a variety of books that deal with the historical developments in the compilation of Islamic laws. We also examine topics such as the origin of Islamic law compilation, the comparison between Western and Muslim views on the implementation of Islamic laws, the conflicts between Western and Islamic laws, and the criticisms and responses to Islamic Sharia. We also review some of these books and analyze how Islamic jurisprudence and laws are reflected in the field of movies. In addition, we study and critique some interesting academic theses that have been presented by students and researchers in Western universities in recent years.
